Mr. Abiodun Olusoji Adeagbo has a Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Educational Management. He also has B. Ed, N.C.E and PGD in Theology. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Educational Management. Aside from these qualifications, Mr. Abiodun is a member of the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (S.T.A.N), Nigeria Peace Network (PEACE CENTRE), Strategic Empowerment and Mediation Agency (SEMA), Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and Teachers Registration Council among others. He is a Certified Child Protection Officer.
As a School Principal/Head of School, he has been involved with the development, maintenance, evaluation, implementation and enhancing curricula (WASSCE, NECO, IGCSE, SAT, PSAT, TOEFL, IELTS, A-LEVEL, BECE, Checkpoint, ERC, JAMB) and co-curricular programmes to reflect student achievement and growth in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains.
Mr. Abiodun was in the United Kingdom for the School Immersion Programme where he under-studied primary, secondary and post-secondary schools. He has been using the knowledge he gained from the programme for school improvements. He is a meticulous teacher and school leader passionate about teaching and learning. For more than 30 years, he has worked in various teaching and school leadership roles which include subject teacher, class teacher, head of department, boarding house master and school principal/head of school.
He has attended a series of seminars on Child Protection, Branding Strategies for School Growth, Conflict Resolution, Managing Stress, Cort-thinking, Language of discipline, Lateral thinking, Human Rights, The use of Audio-visual in teaching of Science, Reading skills, Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE), Public speaking, Health & Safety Education, Quality control /assurance, Workplace attitude, Emotional Intelligence, Cultural Sensitivity and the drive to develop the highest moral and ethical standards in students and staff of different backgrounds and nationalities, Outstanding Leadership in teaching and learning, Handling Special Education Needs and Effective Communication, among others. He is a trained Conflict Manager. He enjoys teaching because it allows him to contribute to the development of his country and the society at large. His education philosophy is that “No Child should be left behind” in our children’s educational pursuits.
He likes challenges and will meaningfully contribute his quota to move AIC and ACS to greater heights in every facet of school life and make them the best and finest among their contemporaries at home and abroad. Mr. Abiodun has come to AIC and ACS to join hands with the students, staff and our esteemed parents so that we can work harder to give superb value to our parents through the excellent performance of our students in both the internal and external examinations and in every facet of school life.
His hobbies include travelling, networking, brainstorming, reading novels, photography, gardening, chess playing, horticulture/landscaping, sports & games, and poultry keeping.
He is happily married with children
