Iheoma Margaret Okonkwo

Iheoma Margaret Okonkwo is an accomplished educator with a rich academic background and a commitment to excellence in her field. She began her educational journey at Owerri Road Primary School, obtaining her First School Leaving Certificate in 1987. Following this, she pursued her Higher School Certificate at the University of Uyo, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Foreign Languages. 

Her dedication to education continued as she undertook her National Youth Service at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja. During this time, she contributed significantly to the Nigeria French Language Project, establishing French Clubs in secondary schools within the Federal Capital Territory. Her subsequent employment at Africa International College (AIC) marked the beginning of a distinguished career, where she rose through the ranks from Class Teacher to her current position as Head Teacher at Africa Community School.

Iheoma’ s commitment to professional development is evident in her academic achievements. She obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers Institute and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration & Planning from the National Open University of Nigeria. Complementing her formal education, she participated in various specialized training programs, including Basic Computer Application, Advanced French Language Course, and Capacity Building on Management of Children with Special Needs.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Iheoma is actively engaged in educational and humanitarian services. As a devout Christian, she finds purpose in nurturing and supporting every child that comes her way, guided by her belief in Exodus 2:9. Married to Ifedi, she is blessed with four sons, and she approaches her role as an educator with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to instilling knowledge with the fear of God.
