Ugwuoke Ernest Ejikeme

Mr. Ernest holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Second Class Upper Division) and a Master of Science Degree in Political Science, specializing in Public Administration, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto. He has participated in numerous seminars and workshops on various aspects of secondary school education.

Mr. Ernest started his career in teaching in 2010 as a teacher of Government and Civic Education in one of the private schools in Abuja. till, he joined the services of Africa International College and Africa Community School Abuja in 2011. In Africa International College, he taught Government and Civic Education and consistently, over the years, produced students with excellent results in their WASSCE and NECO SSCE. Besides teaching in the classroom, he also served as a hostel master of one of the houses from 2012 to 2017 and later as the Head of Department of Humanities from 2016 to 2022. He equally served in many committees at different times and chaired some of the committees with outstanding performances.

Mr Ernest is a passionate, disciplined, self-motivated and committed educator who understands the power of education in transforming people and society, hence, his strongminded commitment in performing his job as a teacher as well as an administrator. His work as a teacher has earned him numerous awards. In his first year as a teacher, he emerged at the end of the session as the best teacher in his department and the best teacher of the year in the school as well as the best form teacher of the year. In Africa International College, he has been awarded by the school for outstanding performance in 2011/2012 session, outstanding House Master of the year for 2012/2013 session; the teacher of the year for 2012/2013, 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 sessions as well as outstanding leadership for 2015/2016 and 2017/2018 sessions. He sees work as an important way of serving and worshiping God.
