General Information

At ACS, we are firmly committed to blended learning which combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional
place-based classroom methods.

Each Child at resumption is provided with login details to access their Google Classroom as ACS operates a blended learning policy. Google Classroom allows for
easier learning, grading and communication between teachers and students.

One pair of small, plain earring studs may be worn and a watch may be worn. No nose studs, oral or facial piercing is allowed.

Hair should be neat and tidy and in a style that does not draw undue attention to the student. Girls are to follow the prescribed hairstyle fortnightly. No
patterns/shaved areas should be cut into the hair. Hair accessories must be plain black or navy blue. No hair extensions or ornaments are permitted.

It is very important that students should attend school regularly and arrive on time for time missed from school may have serious educational consequences.
If for any reason, students are unable to attend school, we must have a phone call to the Parent Relation Officer on every day of absence, followed by a letter on
their return to school. If a student is due to attend a family programme, please let the school know in advance in writing to ensure that we do not send text
messages chasing absence. Parents are expected to pick up their children at closing time. Failure to do so will attract an hourly fine after 4:00pm.

We are fully committed to building a partnership between home and school with the aim of developing shared expectations of enhancing the quality of education,
and of achieving high standards. We encourage our parents to do the following:

  • Undertaking appropriate activities to support your child at home
  • Attending Parents in Prayer and consultation meetings
  • Joining the Parents, Teachers Friends Forum (PTFF)

Parents are welcome to see the class teacher at any other mutually convenient time through the Parents Relations Office. Parents receive a written report at the
end of the school term. An open day is usually held for parents to discuss the contents of their child’s progress and report.

A Parent Student Handbook is given to each child to sign alongside their parents. This Prospectus is to be read alongside the handbook to provide comprehensive
information and guidelines for students and parents.

The school also operates a very active website to as well as social media handles on notable platforms
